Surreal cityscape based on a wish for San Francisco Chinatown to embrace its old structures. This, during a time when new owners are tearing down the old and replacing it with gold plated neon.
The Dress Shop is named Hom Shee Mock, 1923. Named fror my maternal grandmother.
I wish she had a dress shop or some means of steady income while she was raising my 7 aunts and uncles by herself in San Francisco Chinatown. Maybe life would have been a little enjoyable for her.
